Went into ice cream and came out full of burgers that no one was going to order. Spicy, properly toasted, and put together better than the price suggests.

Char on the patty, toppings that were placed rather than dropped, size that does not make anyone feel shortchanged. Gets skipped in conversations it has no business being left out of.
Wendy’s Dave’s Single
The patty stands out in its individual form outside of relying on the sauce or toppings to do the job. The change for the vibrant red meat was all the flow and it also informs in each unmarried piece.
Five Guys Cheeseburger
Costs more than the others and delivers more than the others. Heavy patty, toppings piled on without being asked, and the fries stuffed in the bag make the whole thing worth the extra spend.
In-N-Out Double Double
Fresh everything, a spread nobody can name but everybody recognizes, and the same result at every single location. Animal style turns an already solid burger into a completely different conversation.
Best: Shake Shack ShackBurger
The potato bun and ShackSauce do the heavy lifting without drawing attention to themselves. Beef quality sits above everything else on this list and the whole thing tastes like someone made real decisions in that kitchen. Everything else here is fine and this one is actually good.
